Draw & Guess
Take turns drawing a word while everyone else races to guess it. The faster you guess, the more you score, and the artist scores for every right answer. Letter hints appear as time runs out. Play online with friends, on one device, or with computer players.
Draw & Guess is a classic party game you can play in your browser. On your turn you pick one of three words and draw it. Everyone else types guesses, and the faster they get it, the more points they score. You score too, for every player who guesses your drawing.
Play online with up to 8 friends using a room code, on one device where everyone guesses out loud, or with computer players who draw and guess too.
How to play Draw & Guess
- When it is your turn, choose one of three words to draw. You have 15 seconds to pick.
- Draw with your mouse or finger. Choose colours and brush sizes, erase, undo or clear the board.
- Everyone else types guesses. Wrong guesses appear in the chat; right ones are hidden so others cannot copy them.
- A guess that is almost right shows “close!” only to the player who typed it.
- As time runs out, letters of the word are revealed as hints.
- Each player draws once per round. After the last round, the highest score wins.
Tips
- Start with the overall shape, then add the details that make it recognisable.
- Draw the setting or an action if the object itself is hard: waves for a beach, a ball for football.
- Guessers: try related words and plurals. Watch the letter count and the hints.
- Writing letters or numbers on your drawing is against the spirit of the game.
Questions
How many people can play?
Two to eight. Online, share a room code; computer players can fill empty seats.
Can we play on one screen?
Yes. In Same device mode the artist draws on the screen, everyone guesses out loud, and the artist taps the players who got it.
How is the score worked out?
A right guess scores 50 to 350 points depending on how much time is left, plus 50 for the first correct guess. The artist gets 60 for the first correct guess and 30 for each one after.
