Quick Maths
Everyone gets the same sums at the same time and races to answer. A right answer scores 10 points plus a bonus for speed, a wrong one costs 3, and you move on as soon as you get it right. The sums get harder as the game goes on. Play against bots or online.
Quick Maths is a race for two to eight players. Everyone gets the same sums at the same time, and you move on to the next one as soon as you answer correctly. The sums start easy and get harder as the game goes on.
Choose easy (adding and taking away up to 20), medium (adds times tables and two-digit sums) or hard (adds division, three-number sums and missing numbers like 7 × ? = 56). Games last 60, 90 or 120 seconds.
How to play Quick Maths
- Read the sum, type the answer and press Enter. On a phone or tablet, use the big number pad on the screen.
- A right answer scores 10 points, plus up to 5 more if you answer quickly.
- A wrong answer costs 3 points and you stay on the same sum until you get it right.
- When the time runs out, the results show each player's score, accuracy, average answer time and fastest answer.
Tips
- Speed matters, but wrong answers cost points: a quick check is often worth it.
- For sums like 46 + 38, add the tens first (40 + 30 = 70), then the units (6 + 8 = 14): 84.
- Learn your times tables up to 10 × 10; they come up a lot on medium and hard.
- Missing-number sums are just division in disguise: 7 × ? = 56 is 56 ÷ 7.
Questions
Does everyone get the same sums?
Yes, in the same order. Faster players simply get further through the list.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. A large number pad appears on screen, so the phone keyboard never pops up.
Can I play alone?
Yes. Race one to seven computer players. Harder bots answer faster and make fewer mistakes.
