Sea Battle
Place five ships on your grid, then take turns firing at the enemy waters. Hits, misses and sunk ships are marked; sink the whole fleet to win. Fleets stay secret on the server so nobody can peek.
Sea Battle is the classic guessing game of naval strategy for two players. Each player secretly places five ships on a 10×10 grid, then you take turns firing at squares on the enemy grid to find and sink their fleet.
The fleet is a carrier (5 squares), a battleship (4), a cruiser (3), a submarine (3) and a destroyer (2). Sink all five enemy ships first to win.
How to play Sea Battle
- Place your ships by dragging them onto your grid. Tap a ship to rotate it, or press Random.
- Press Ready. Your opponent places their fleet at the same time, in secret.
- Take turns tapping a square on the enemy grid to fire. A hit shows a flame, a miss shows a splash.
- When every square of a ship is hit, it sinks and is revealed.
- Sink the whole enemy fleet to win.
Tips
- After a hit, fire at the four neighbouring squares to find the ship's direction.
- When hunting, fire in a checkerboard pattern: every ship covers at least two squares.
- Spread your ships out and avoid obvious patterns along the edges.
Questions
Can my opponent see my ships online?
No. Fleets are kept on the server and only revealed when sunk or when the game ends.
What are the optional rules?
The host can let a hit earn another shot, and can forbid ships from touching each other.
