Tank Duel
A turn-based artillery duel on hills you can blow apart. Draft your weapons, read the wind, set your angle and power, and fire. Twelve weapons, from rolling bombs to fire waves. Play the computer, a friend on one device, or online.
Tank Duel is a turn-based artillery game for two. Each player drives a small tank on rolling hills, and the ground breaks apart wherever shots land. Set your angle and power, allow for the wind, and fire.
Before the battle both players take turns drafting weapons from a shared pool, from simple shells to cluster bombs, rolling bombs, drills and fire. Every weapon is used once. When both arsenals are empty, the player who did the most damage wins.
How to play Tank Duel
- Draft: take turns picking weapons from the pool until each player has a full arsenal.
- On your turn, choose a weapon, then drag on the battlefield (or use the angle and power buttons) to aim. The dotted line shows the barrel direction.
- Check the wind at the top of the screen. It pushes every shot sideways, more the longer it flies.
- Press Fire. Damage you deal to your rival is added to your score; damage to yourself goes to theirs.
- You have four short drives per game to move your tank left or right. Driving does not use up your turn.
- On a keyboard: arrow keys aim (hold Shift for fine steps), Q and E change weapon, A and D drive, Space fires.
Tips
- Fire a cheap shell first to learn the distance, then adjust the power a little at a time.
- High arcs are affected more by wind; flat shots are harder to block with hills but easier to misjudge.
- Earth Mound does no damage, but it can bury your rival or build a wall in front of you.
- Rolling bombs follow the slope. Land them uphill of your rival and let gravity do the rest.
Questions
What does the wind do?
It pushes every shot left or right while it is in the air. The arrow and number show the direction and strength, and it changes after each shot. You can turn wind off in the settings.
How many weapons does each player get?
Five, eight or ten, chosen in the game settings. You can also skip the draft and deal random weapons.
Can I play with a friend on one device?
Yes. Choose Same device and take turns on one screen, or create an online room and share the code.
