Tumble Dash is a party knockout show for up to twelve wobbly jelly blobs. Each show has three rounds, and in every round some players go out until one blob is left to win.
Round one is an obstacle race made of four random sections, picked and shuffled for every show: spinning bars, ferries over a gap, punch walls, rolling balls, mystery doors and balance beams. Then comes the Spin Zone, and the final is Tile Drop, where tiles fall away after you step on them. Play solo against bots or online, where bots fill the empty spots.
How to play Tumble Dash
- Run with WASD or the arrow keys, jump with Space and dive with Shift. On a phone, use the stick and the JUMP and DIVE buttons.
- Obstacle Dash: get to the finish line. Only the first ones across go through. Fall off and you go back to the last checkpoint.
- Spin Zone: jump over the low purple bar and stay on the ground so the high red bar passes over you. Both bars speed up. Fall off and you are out.
- Tile Drop: every tile you stand on cracks and falls a moment later. Keep moving, drop to the layer below when you have to, and be the last one standing.
- A dive gives you a burst of speed forward, and knocks over anyone you run into.
Tips
- At the mystery doors, some doors are fake. Follow the others through a door that has already burst open.
- Wait for a ferry to reach your side before you step on, and step off at the far end.
- In Tile Drop, do not stand still and do not walk back over tiles you have already used.
- Diving across the finish line can win you a place at the very end.
Questions
Is the course the same every time?
No. The race picks four of six obstacle sections for every show, in a random order, with different speeds and layouts.
How many people can play?
Up to twelve online. Empty spots are filled with computer players so every show has a full field.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. There is a touch stick and JUMP and DIVE buttons, and the camera follows you in portrait or landscape.
What happens when I am knocked out?
You can watch the rest of the show. In solo games you can also skip straight to the end.
